Stupid, Stupid,
Stupid.
By Vincent J. Brunasso
Growing
up, I was taught a lot of things. One was to try to use a
new word every day. My word today is not new but I can't help
using it. You guessed it, today's word is STUPID.
To expect
the desert to stay open while tons of trash accumulate is stupid.
I guess these people live in filth at home too. Maybe mommy
still cleans up after them.
One of
the rangers was assaulted with a bag of trash - seems some stupid
duner had the brains to throw it out the window of his or her rig
as they drove buy at 40 mph. Happily, the ranger was not hurt
by this stupid act. BLM Ranger, on behalf of all the good
duners, you have our sincerest apologies. Another thing I
was taught was respect for others.
It seems
we are getting more trash to the dumpsters than ever before.
I commend you all. Now we just have to get it IN the
dumpsters. The wind picks it up and blows it around if we
do not. And please try to use the bags with the little rope
built right in -open bags release trash to the winds.
I was
taught a lot of respect - respect for the planet, respect for authority,
and respect for laws and rules. I know that the stupid ones
are a small minority - but they do way too much harm. If we
could all band together to help teach these stupid people respect
for the dunes and the rules out there, we wouldn't need Fees, extra
Law Enforcement and to fear the Environmentalists closing
us down.
That is
why I we endorse the checkered flag program. Click
here for more info.
You'll
be able to know in an instant who the good guys are. Let's show
the BLM and above all, the stupid people out in the dunes how many
of us out there have respect. It would be awesome for a group
of 50 of us good guys to be able to tell a group of 10 stupid duners
to pick up their trash or go home.
At Comp
Or Olds, the stupid duners might just back down if they find themselves
surrounded by 100's of good guys with the B&W checkered streamers.
We need to unite. Now is the time for all good duners to come to
the aid of their sport.
Respectfully,
Vincent J. Brunasso
GOL and TRT Webmaster.
